About Jewar International Airport (Noida International Airport) The Jewar Airport which is now known as Noida International Airport is being developed along the Yamuna Expressway near Jewar. The Airport is being developed by Zurich Airport in 4 phases. On 27th Aug 2021, the Zurich officials conducted Bhoomi Poojan on Jewar Airport site to start construction work. Formally on 25th November the Prime Minister Narendra Modi done Bhoomi Poojan & Shilanyas of Noida International Airport. The first phase is spread over 1334 hectares (approx 3300 acres) of land. The first phase of airport with 2 runways is expected to be completed by 2024. The construction work is in full pace.
